Has it been that long?
The blog (or lack of blogging) has been on my mind lately- so I decided to sneak back in and see if I could revive a little life back into it.
Where to start?
The family is happy and healthy.
Aaron is still getting mean packages in the mail. The last one I hid because really, who needs more straps? Apparently he does. He's also trying to convince me to let him hang them on the wall in the master bathroom. I keep telling him that leather does not go well with the happy nature theme I have going on in there. That would be a hard one to explain to visitors.
Still cookin' up stories or parts of stories and write them down when I can.
and still behaving...mostly

A scene of sorts-You can guess how it ended
Vignette:
When self Preservation wins over Common Sense- or better titled: Shit Subs Shouldn't Say
Cast of Characters:
Aaron- sadist, lacking in both sympathy and humor
Monica- misunderstood masochist
Scene:
(We meet our dear couple after a completely undeserved and unjust session. Aaron is busy tucking is now jello-like wife into bed. He leans over to give his wife a much needed smooch)
Monica: (pouting) That hurt. You hurt me.
Aaron: (grinning) Good! I'm glad. Now sleep well.
Monica: At least tell me your hand hurts a little. A smidge? I hope it does. (She settles down into her little nest of covers)
Aaron: Nope. Not even a little. (Pulling back the covers, causing a draft that is probably going to give his wife pneumonia or something equally dramatic.) Do you want me to see what I can do to make it hurt? Should we keep going? (He begins to swat before she even gets to answer)
Monica: NO!
Aaron: No?! (continues to swat) No What?
Monica: NO, I MEAN IT!!
End scene.

Operator Error
Like many couples in our lifestyle, we have acquired quite a collection of implements. A smorgasbord of sorts. Aaron has his favorites for discipline and we both have our favorites for play.
A few months back, Aaron decided he wanted to add to our stash. Aaron being Aaron decided to keep me in the dark about what he picked. He did let me know the color (Red...does that surprise anyone?) and that he was absolutely certain, based on the reviews, that it would leave an impression.
And like the true sadist he is, he reminded me often of the impending doom this mysterious tool would bring me.
He was an absolute joy to be around, I assure you.
The package came and his face lit up like a kid's on Christmas.
"Oh good! Look what we have here!" he exclaimed while ripping open the package. I sat on the couch and tried to blend in just in case he wanted to try whatever it was out immediately. Past experiences have taught me that any secret package he is that excited about never ends well for me.
"What the hell?" I saw his face go from excitement to total confusion as he pulled out his beloved buy.

| The tiny weapon of DOOM! Boots, they are a shakin' |
Yes folks, the weapon that was going to cause me great pain and suffering was, apparently, only 5 inches long.
Seeing that my backside was safe from harm, I jumped up to inspect it. We experimented with it for a few minutes, attempting to see what all the fuss was about this little guy. Both of us laughed and named it the "Harry Potter Wand" It was put into the "dud" pile with the spatulas and ping pong paddles and forgotten about.
That is until this last week.
Aaron embraced his mean streak and pulled out everything we had. As I was recovering, he dug through his nightstand one last time to make sure he hadn't forgotten anything. There, in the deep dark corner, was his wand.
He returned and tapped me lightly.
"Remember this?"
"Oh, the wand of death and destruction?" I said. My sarcastic attitude is always the first to recover.
He chuckled. Just before putting it back in the bag he gave the back of my legs one swat with it.
You guys, I just about jumped three feet in the air.
Of course, this reaction made his dom ears perk up. I could FEEL him grinning. He struck again and again, having entirely too much fun on my behalf.
This little snip of a switch surprised the both of us.
After a few minutes he stopped. We were both really impressed. Well, I was ready to throw the damn thing out the window. He had found his new favorite toy.
Who knew it what a difference in placement made?
He's already started bragging and using it as a threat.
"Don't make me go all Harry Potter on you."
"I'll get the wand out!"
Personally, I think I'm ready for it to go back into the Dud pile.

Already Behind
Hello!
I started this new year promising myself to get back into the swing of things here at the old bloggity blog. I committed to myself a weekly post. Get the creative juices flowing, write some stories, catch up on some bloggers I read. All of that fun stuff.
I'm going to completely ignore the calendar and pretend I'm not already behind in this commitment.
I've had a great excuse for my absence.
I've had a great excuse for my absence.
My life since October in a nutshell: Had a darling baby, Dash, who is healthy and happy and my world's delight. I won't talk much about him here but rest assured he's the best thing since sliced bread. Seriously. Take my word on it. Amazing and cute and did I mention he could already do Calculus?
Anywhoo needless to say we've been quite busy the past few months. Lots of changes. Not always puppies and rainbows granted but we're finding our way through it.
Aaron and I are no longer working together. I'm in my own little element at home and he's running the family business. It's been a bit difficult for me not to be able to walk down to his office and get a smooch. Or have him barge into my office and give me a well placed swat during the day. We were used to spending most of our time together and now admittedly miss one another.
Of course, I wouldn't change it for the world though. Housewifery and motherhood suit me just fine.
Except the spit up. I could do without that.
